After finalization the dates are advertised and published in newspapers. Females are only eligible to apply.
 
What is the duration of basic Training Course of FWWs? Top
Total duration of the course is 24 months (2 years).
 
What is the age limit for admission in this course? Top
Age limit for admission to this course is 18 – 25 years.
 
What qualification is required for this course? Top
Matric Science with 55% marks
FSC premedical; 50% marks will be preferred.
 
What is the amount of stipend paid? Top
Stipend paid currently for this course is Rs 6000/- month
 
How many candidates get admission per course? Top
30 candidates can get admission per course.
 
What is the procedure for admission? Top
The candidates have to apply for admission through a hand written application, followed by an interview as per admission policy of the Department.
 
Can a married woman take admission in this course? Top
Yes, if she is not pregnant, and with the condition that pregnancy will have to be avoided during the training course.
 
What are the job opportunities after this training course? Top
Job opportunities are subject to vacancies in the Department. Trained FWWs can get job in the Private Sector also.
 
What facilities are provided for out-station participants during trainings? Top
Free boarding facility is provided for out-station participants. Meals are available from the mess at extremely reasonable rates. Transport facility is provided free of cost.
 
Is stay mandatory in the hostel, or can participants stay on their own?
Stay is mandatory in the hostel during training. Top
 
Can trainees bring their young kids to stay with them during training?
Due to logistic issues trainees are not allowed to keep their children, or anyone else, with them in the hostel during the training. Top
