The Population Welfare Department Punjab is getting ready for a week-long celebration of our 70th Independence Day with full passion. The schedule of the festivities has been chalked out and circulated to all District Offices throughout Punjab for compliance. Some of the activities include flag hoisting at 9 am on the day preceded by a pause in all activities at 8.58 am and heralded by sirens to announce the flag hoisting, display of photos of national heroes at prominent places, decoration of office buildings with flags and buntings. National flag badges will be worn on dresses from the 1st of August 2017.
