Management of Adolescent Problems
The management of adolescent problems include:
- Counsel adolescents about personal hygiene, nutrition, and physiological changes
- Counsel/refer girls and boys (through Male Advisory Centers) with developmental problems
Prevention and Management of RTIs/STIs, HIV & AIDS
Prevention and management of RTIs/STIs, HIV & AIDS include:
- Counsel women for prevention of Reproductive Tract Infections (RTIs) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
- Identify cases of STIs and provide syndromic management as per WHO standards
Management of Other RH Problems
The management of other RH problems include:
- Treat minor ailments
- Provide first aid for minor injuries and emergencies
- Counsel/refer infertile couples
- Counsel/refer women with menopausal problems
Detection of Breast Lump
The breast lump is detected through the following procedures:
- Train clients for self-examination of the breast
- Counsel/refer women with a breast lump
Infertility
When a couple fails to conceive after 12 months of regular intercourse without the use of contraception it may be termed infertile.
Infertility is often considered primarily a women’s problem and the role that men play in conception is often overlooked. This is a highly sensitive problem for couples.
